The video begins with an immediate image of Lopez's bottom and legs, from a low angled shot, making the shot become focused on her rear,  and appear larger, and focused on the curve of the muscle. During this shot, Lopez's hand moves slowly up her leg and across her rear, suggesting intimate behavior.This scene is then cross cut between J.Lo and Azalea gyrating their butts with their heads cut off by the edge of the screen, solo and against each other and then back to Lopez spanking her butt. This further suggests sexual activity or empowering herself, whilst adopting a self for filling prophecy as she lives up to the label of a female sex icon. We also see both Azalea and Lopez break the forth wall, where we see Lopez gazing into the camera, with her hands running through her hair, suggesting that Lopez is intrigued, and perhaps prepared for sexual activity. This could also remind the audience that the music video inst real, and a fantasy in the minds of Iggy and Jennifer. Both females are displayed in a soaking one piece, often with some sort of lube-y substance dripping off them, this implies provocative behavior. You could argue that making a fetish out of rear ends and making a fetish out of lesbianism are both just part of the commodification of female bodies and sexuality. Butts and female-female eroticism go together because butts and female eroticism are both things that most guys like to see.despite this, the video is not entirely, or even primarily, focused on a male audience. J. Lo and Iggy have a large female fan base, therefore the video may not be entirely aimed towards the male audience .

Throughout the video it seems like there are just as many if not more shots of detached butts than Lopez and Azalea’s actual faces, further implying the male gaze and portraying women as sexual objects, as the artists are presenting themselves as bodies, and therfore reducing women to body parts. Lopez is seen dancing on a pole which has connotations to strippers and sexual behavior. Lyrically, the song itself puts more focus on the needs of men rather than Lopez, or a woman’s, desires: "It’s his birthday, give him what he ask for." Lopez sings about other women’s booties, not her own — yet in the video it is hers and Azalea’s that’s the focus.  Despite this, the song's title is ' Booty ' so therefore its expected that there would be scenes of the celebrities iconic rears in the video.
